EUROPA LEAGUE THURSDAY: We preview the two games with British interest. Inter Milan v Southampton at 6pm and Man U v Fenerbahce at 8.05pm with recommended BETDAQ bets.
Inter Milan v Southampton
6pm It might not seem a natural thing to say given the history of the clubs but it’s surprising to see Inter as favourites here given the way De Boer has viewed the Europa League in the first two games, they have lost to Sparta Prague and Hapoel Beer Sheva, two sides way below Southamptons level – and we should see a full strength Southampton side too. Inter aren’t having a great year domestically too, currently sitting 11th in the league. Southampton meanwhile have been excellent at the back – they comfortably beat Burnley the weekend 3-1, conceding their first goal in seven games, impressively they’ve now just conceded seven goals in all of their games thus far this season and there’s no reason to think that they won’t be solid at the back here given it will be Inter’s second XI. It’s tempting to go for the Southampton win at 3.1 but the shrewd option seems an Inter lay at 2.52.

Manchester United v Fenerbahce
8.05pm Given United played Liveprool on Monday night and have to travel to Chelsea on Sunday evening, it’s reasonable to think that we won’t see a full strength United side here and with them currently priced at around 1.58, the question is how best to play this one? It’s also possible Mourinho could choose not to rest played considering Fenerbahce top United’s Group, but logic would suggest he will and we expect this to be quite a cagey affair with United coming out on top in the end where their class should just about get them through with home advantage. The 1.58 doesn’t appeal as value though considering the situation with very important Premier League games either side of this and under 2.5 goals appeals way more at around 2.1.
