FA CUP: We preview Friday’s matches Man U v Derby and the Merseyside derby Liverpool v Everton both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

LIVERPOOL V EVERTON

7.55pm What a perfect way to start an FA Cup weekend! These two met very recently in the Premier League at Anfield, when Everton held Liverpool to a 1-1 draw – Liverpool should have really won the game and Klopp gave one of the most angry interviews of the season afterwards. He’ll be hoping for a different result tonight!

Liverpool are heavy favourites, with the match odds; Liverpool 1.54, Everton 7.6 and the draw 4.5 at the time of writing. Everton were easily brushed aside on Monday at home to Manchester United and now they have gone four games without a win – losing their last two. They couldn’t beat West Brom away from home in that run either – so while they did show improvement under Allardyce they have come unstuck recently. Liverpool have been rock solid at home too, only conceding four goals in 11 games and Anfield. We feel that Liverpool at 1.54 is an ok bet, however we see more value in under 2.5 goals at 2.08 – Merseyside Derbies are always close affairs and with Liverpool’s home record, they can grind out a close win. It’s worth checking the prices on 1-0 and 2-0 on a Liverpool win in the correct score market too.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 2.5 goals at 2.08.

MANCHESTER UNITED V DERBY

8pm Many punters may think that this fixture will be a ‘walkover’ for United, however Derby are flying high in second position in the Championship and have done unbeaten in their last nine away games. That certainly makes you think twice about lumping on United here at 1.29 – especially with United failing to win their last two home games against Southampton and Burnley where they have been left frustrated. Jose Mourinho may opt to rest some players here too, and as we seen with their loss in the League Cup against Bristol, things can go wrong quickly.

All that being said, United should still have enough class to get through here, however we don’t see it being easy. We like Derby with the handicap here – they’re currently trading 2.1 +1.5 goals which looks too big. United haven’t been blowing away teams in their recent games, and with Derby in good form – this one could well be closer than the match odds suggest.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Derby +1.5 goals to beat Manchester United at 2.1.
