JONATHAN HOBBS: Eyes down for the semi-finals of the Colossus Bets Kent Silver Salver at Central Park tonight – with six greyhounds looking to get one step closer to a crack at £10,000.

There’s a £10,000 bonus offered by the sponsors to run unbeaten through the event – so step forward Ballynabee Lucky, Coolavanny Dylan, Druids Brazona, King Drake, Lightfoot Rio and Shrewd Call, all of whom look to preserve unbeaten records tonight.

Of course, only three can potentially head into next week’s final with a chance to win the £10,000 bonus on top of the £3,000 first prize – a potential £13,000 windfall.

Good luck to all on a cracking card at the Kent venue which has scheduled a number of open-race competitions since lockdown and offer up another all-open race card this evening – but the Silver Salver semis stand out.

And don’t forget Betdaq customers have a chance to get involved via special markets offered on the Cat Two event.

You can back any of the remaining six dogs to win its semi-final and final, plus there’s a simple ‘Yes or No’ market. Will the Colossus Bets Kent Silver Salver bonus be won?

On to tonight’s eye-catchers.

Central Park

6.43: An interesting novice stayers and a match on paper between Ballymac Osby and Goldies Symnsy. Both have a touch of class and have run some cracking races at Central Park – perhaps Kevin Hutton’s dog gets first run inside and might always hold the edge.

Play: Ballymac Osby

7:38: The first of the Colossus Bets Kent Silver Salver semis and Shrewd Call was so impressive in the heats last week that the double looks on. Dave Mullins’s dog was superb to the eye in winning, but timewise also ticked the right box with a joint-fastest effort.

Play: Shrewd Call

7:58: Queen Jessiej will be all the rage after a stunning return effort last week. She’s won 5 of 7 starts and rocketed to a 28.68sec latest. However, the punt here might be to work a forecast or each-way bet with sprinter Melodys Secret for Spencer Mavrias. He could go clear inside.

8.17: Another Silver Salver semi and Coolavanny Dylan versus King Drake could be a cracker on their heat form – Fitenwell will also come forward. However classy Sheffield sprinter Dylan is coming to the boil post-return for Kirsty Grayson and can strike.

Play: Coolavanny Dylan

8.38: A 480m final now and a worthy favourite in Troy Firebird. He looked top-notch last week with an impressive win. Nevertheless the value might prove to be Seaglass Tiger with likely improvement given a solid return after a long break. Patrick Janssens’ dog could lead up.

Play: Seaglass Tiger

8:54 The third and final Silver Salver semi where Grays Cup Winner can go one better from his heat defeat. He ran a cracker then, just missing out when running wide but will strip sharper for the outing and Nathan Hunt’s kennel remains in tip-top form.

Play: Grays Cup Winner

9.12: A cracking hurdles contest how which features big-race winners Turnhouse Jet and Burgess Doc doing battle again. Both will improve for last week’s clash, but the value might lie with Belinda Green’s well-drawn Bockos Rory. His first-run potential looks good – but only at a price.

Play: Bockos Rory

9.28: The ‘getting out’ bet at Central Park for many might be Piemans Noelle. He’s coming to the fore for the David Mullins camp and has every chance to cut loose over this six bends given form behind the classy Southfield Code last week. No disgrace.

Play: Piemans Noelle
