PREVIEW
Blackpool haven’t lost since Michael Appleton became manager and the Tangerines eight-match unbeaten run is the current longest in the Championship. They are worthy favourites tonight against a Wolverhampton Wanderers side who have been frustrating to follow this season.

Wolves have won just two of their last 12 league games, losing seven and sit in 18th-place in the league. A depressing fact for a side that was many people’s favourites to gain promotion straight back into the Premier League. However, Stale Solbakken’s side have won two of their last three matches, after previously going nine matches without a victory, so it would be dangerous to write them off completely.

Blackpool have bounced back from losing their manager Ian Holloway to Crystal Palace and once again look like a team that can challenge for a play-off spot. Stephen Crainey returns from suspension later but Bob Harris, impressed at left-back and may stay in the team.

Appleton remains hopeful midfielder Chris Basham can play a part in the festive programme but tonight may come too soon.

Wolves are boosted by the news Austrian defender Georg Margreitter is available for the seaside trip. He has been struggling with a hip injury and has not featured since September.

Wanderers have had a rocky season but the signs seem to suggest they are slowly improving. Even so, it’s hard to argue with the way the Pool are playing right now and, at around 2.06 on BETDAQ, they look a decent bet to get the weekend off to a good start.
