Ukraine have never lost to Estonia and with just 11 days to go until the start of Euro 2012 they certainly won’t want to buck that trend now.
This match should ease the co-host towards tougher things to come in Group D, where it will face Sweden, France and England.
Zhovto-Blakytni, or the yellow-blues to you and me, beat Estonia 2-0 as recently as October last year and they have not even conceded to the north-eastern European side.
Estonia were hammered 5-1 by Ireland in their Euro 2012 play-off tie, but they should command respect for making it that far having finished higher than Serbia and Slovenia in qualifying.
There should only be one winner, though, as suggested by the hosts’ price of 1.39 on BETDAQ. The draw is trading at 4.9 and Estonia at 9.0.
That’s not great value and I’m not convinced enough to back Ukraine with a -1.5 Asian Handicap at 2.2. At pretty much the same mark of 2.22 I’d prefer to go for under 2.5 goals.
