PREVIEW
Today’s first round matches at the Western and Southern Open, also known more commonly as the Cincinnati Masters, features an intriguing clash between Serbian Viktor Troicki and Croatian Ivan Dodig.

The duo only have three titles between them with 26-year-old Troicki currently ranked 32nd in the world – the same position as 27-year-old Dodig’s highest rating was.

Unfortunately for Dodig his career has slipped of late and he has struggled to make an impact at the top level, failing to get beyond the second round of a Grand Slam or Masters Event and dropping to 116th in the world.

Troicki has been as high as 12th in the world and his biggest achievement was winning the deciding rubber in the 2010 Davis Cup. Like Dodig he has suffered an average year, his highlight being winning the Team Dusseldorf Open with compatriot Janko Tipsarevic, and, having suffered a disappointing first-round exit at the London Olympics this month followed by a poor effort in Toronto, Troiki will look to regain the winning thread this evening.

At around 1.72 on BETDAQ the Serbian looks too big considering the gulf in class between the two at present and that price looks well worth snapping up.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back Troicki at around 1.72 on BETDAQ: 5 points
