PREVIEW
Tonight’s action takes us to League Two with title contenders Gillingham taking on lowly Wycombe.
The Gills are in second place and will go top of the division with a win later. Wycombe lie in 18th-place but recent results would suggest they are better than that and they may be underestimated at around 6 on BETDAQ.
Gillingham have only won one of their last five home matches against the Blues and both teams arrive on the back of identical results from their last six matches – three wins, two losses and a draw.
The visitors have only lost two of their last ten games and are more than capable of springing a surprise. Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth has been boosted by the extended stay of loanees Michael Harriman and Bruno Andrade.
Gillingham could hand a debut to Anton Robinson for the visit of the Chairboys. The midfielder has arrived on-loan from Championship side Huddersfield until the end of the season and is likely to be named in the matchday squad.
Quick starts have been key to Gillingham’s good form this year, with no side in the league scoring more often in the first 15 minutes than the Gills. Their 11 strikes in that time contrasts with Wycombe, who amazingly haven’t managed to score in the final 15 minutes of any league game this season.
That lack of attacking bite may well cost them dear tonight and the hosts are a fair bet to win both halves at around 2.6 on BETDAQ.
RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
