PREVIEW
After winning none and losing five of the first nine Premier League meetings with Aston Villa, West Brom are now unbeaten in their last four, winning two.

There have been six draws in 13 Premier League meetings in this fixture and all seven victories have been by the same 2-1 scoreline.

Aston Villa have won just two of their last 19 Premier League away matches and have lost ten of those. The pressure on Paul Lambert is building and derby defeat at the Hawthorns would only make his job even more unsafe.

Darren Bent has failed to fire and Christian Benteke has often been starved of service as Villa have failed to score in four of their last five Premier League games and their total of 10 games without scoring this season is the highest in the league. Their 19 point haul is also their lowest in the Premier League after 22 games.

Romelu Lukaku has now scored in six of his eight Premier League starts for West Brom, bagging a total of seven goals in those games but he hasn’t been able to stop a run of form that has seen the Baggies lose six and win only two of their last eight Premier League games.

However, they can take advantage of the visitors woeful form and take a step back in the right direction with a narrow victory later today.
