PREVIEW

Harry Redknapp will still be reeling from the 5-2 defeat at the Emirates last Sunday, which was made even worse after they took a 2-0 lead. Tottenham have another tough assignment when Man Utd visit White Hart Lane, but a win would be the perfect way to draw a line under the derby defeat.

One poor result doesn’t detract from Spurs’ season and they still have a healthy cushion on fourth place. Spurs’ record against United is terrible and the 3-0 league defeat at Old Trafford earlier in the campaign extended their run without a win over them to 24 fixtures.

Spurs have only lost once at home in the league all season and United’s away form suggests it should be a tight game. However, Redknapp’s preparations for the game have been disrupted by injuries and suspensions. Scott Parker will be unavailable as he serves a one-match ban for his red card at the Emirates, while Gareth Bale and Ledley King have picked up knocks.

The hosts still have a potent attacking two though in Louis Saha and Emmanuel Adebayor who have already formed a strong partnership up top. Saha has three goals in two league games for his new club and he’d love to get one against his former employers.

United have had the beating of Spurs and they’ll be looking forward to the clash a lot more knowing the players that are unavailable for Redknapp. Wayne Rooney returns for United and the visitors have the momentum to pick up an important three points in North London.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back United at 2.54: 4 points
Saturday’s Return: +9.30 points
MARCH RETURN TO DATE: +18.20
