PREVIEW
Oldham host Liverpool this afternoon in a repeat of their third round clash in the FA Cup last season. The Reds defeated their rivals 5-1 then and the layers are certainly not taking any chances this year with Brendan Rodgers’ side. The visitors to Boundary Park are trading at around 1.27 on BETDAQ.

The hosts have met Liverpool four times in the FA Cup before and have lost all of those games and they meet the Merseysiders on a run three successive losses.

However, Paul Dickov’s men will be heartened by the fact they have won two of their last four FA Cup games against Premier League opposition. Most recently they knocked out Liverpool’s city rivals Everton in 2008.

But the Latics have lost each of their last four games at Boundary Park, conceding exactly two goals in each of those defeats and with Luis Suarez in such devastating form – he has six goals in his last five games – it could be a long afternoon for the home defence

That said, Liverpool were hardly convincing in beating Mansfield 2-1 in the third round and are guilty of throwing in the odd shocker. For a bit more value, it might be worth backing Daniel Sturridge to open the scoring, with the former Chelsea man netting on all three of his appearances for his new club.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back Daniel Sturridge to score first at around 5.0 on BETDAQ: 3 points

Saturday: -4.00 points
JANUARY RETURN TO DATE: -11.33 points
