PREVIEW
Neither Manchester City nor Liverpool will head into today’s fixture happy after muddling midweek performances. City failed to eat into rivals Manchester United’s lead at the top of the table when they failed t break down a stubborn Queens Park Rangers defence and an inspired Julio Cesar in the Rangers’ goal. They then saw United beat Southampton a day later to extend the gap to seven points once more.

Liverpool let slip a 2-0 lead away to Arsenal and that draw now means Brendan Rodgers’ side have failed to beat another top ten side all season.

City’s home form is so strong that they have to be favourites and the market on BETDAQ currently has them a around the 1.89 mark, with the visitors at 4.6.

After a bit of a sloppy start to the season, conceding soft goal, the Citizens have now kept six clean sheets on the bounce in all competitions – their best record since 1999.

Brendan Rodgers’ Reds have had an indifferent campaign and, having been dumped out of the FA Cup by Oldham last weekend, they will want to give their supporters something to cheer about.

However, aside from a rampant Luis Suarez, the visitors seem to lack creativity and, while the signing of Philippe Coutinho may remedy that, the Brazilian is likely to need some time to bed in.

Mancini will not need to stress the need for a victory with United bounding clear at the top of the table and they are worth backing to claim all three points.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back Man City at around 1.89 on BETDAQ: 6 points

Saturday: +10.60 points
FEBRUARY RETURN TO DATE: +6.60 points
