PREVIEW
Altrincham and Burton Albion recommence battle at Moss Lane ground after there was nothing to separate the sides in a thrilling first FA Cup meeting. Calvin Zola’s last minute equaliser forced the replay, which will be the final piece of the midweek action before the draw for the second round.
Two of Altrincham’s goals were own-goals from Nathan Stanton and Damien McCrory and it’s hard to see Burton being so generous this time around. Altrincham have struggled at home of late and their results here suggest it could be a tricky evening.
The host’s have won just twice in their last twelve home matches across all competitions. Damien Reeves didn’t get on the score sheet last week, but he’s the main goal threat for Altrincham with 15 goals this season.
Burton can count themselves a little unfortunate to be in this situation on account of two own goals and I fancy them to get the job done having had time to regroup.
