PREVIEW
AC Milan have endured a rather frustrating season so far and after one of their most disappointing starts to a Serie A season, with six defeats from their opening 16 games, they find themselves in seventh spot in the Italian top-flight, 14 points off leaders Juventus.
Their recent form has been better though and it’s fair to assume the giants of world football will see the Coppa Italia as their most realistic chance of silverware this season. They take on Serie B side Reggina at the San Siro tonight.
Reggina are 17th in their league and have only won one of their last five games. The visitors have drawn their past two though and will have nothing to lose against Massimiliano Allegri’s lot. These two clubs haven’t met since the 2008/09 season in the top flight and Reggina managed to steal a point on their most recent trip to the San Siro.
Milan have scored seven in their past two league games and won both of those matches by a two goal margin. Stephan El Shaarawy scored the last of four against Torino to take his league tally to 13 and he’ll be the main threat up top.
Given that Reggina have won just one Serie B away game this campaign, I’m happy to back the hosts with the -2 Asian Handicap at around 2.11 on BETDAQ.
