PREVIEW

Man City have a potentially tough evening ahead of them when they meet Everton at Goodison Park. The Toffees booked their place in the FA Cup fifth round with an impressive fightback against Fulham to seal a 2-1 win. That was David Moyes’ third game without a defeat on the bounce, but a visit from the league leaders poses a far harder challenge.

Everton have a strong record against City and have won four of the past five meetings between the clubs. However, City have been a different beast this season and Roberto Mancini knows that a slip up here could bring Man United level on points if they beat Stoke.

Moyes has a whole host of players missing for the game and the Toffees are particularly stretched at the back. One player that Everton won’t have to deal with is Mario Balotelli, who is serving the second game of his four-match.

With a lengthy injury list, Mancini will fancy his chances of putting the Carling Cup disappointment behind them with another three points in the league. City comfortably came through the reverse fixture in September and arrive at this game having won their past three league games.

Everton don’t have enough of an attacking threat to cause the visitors too many problems and City look a good bet to pick up the win at around 1.88 on BETDAQ.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)

Back Manchester City at around 1.88: 5 points

Monday’s Return: -4 points
