PREVIEW
West Ham were left reeling by a glorious last minute goal from Robin van Persie that tied their FA Cup third round clash with Manchester United 2-2 ten days ago. That was the Dutchman’s fifth goal in his last four appearances versus the Hammers and he again will carry the principal threat in the replay at Old Trafford tonight.

The Hammers have failed to score in their last four trips to the Theatre of Dreams, losing all four, and their preparation for this game was hardly helped with a poor showing in the 3-0 defeat to Sunderland on the weekend.

United, meanwhile, saw off their old enemy Liverpool with more ease than a 2-1 scoreline predicts, but have only kept one clean sheet – against the east Londoners – in their last 12 home games and that looks like the only chink in the team’s armour.

But the 19-times English champions are flying and with the likes of Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand yet to win a FA Cup, one can assume they will go all out to win the one honour missing from their club CVs.

The hosts have only once failed to beat the visitors by more than one goal in their five games at home and their ruthlessness in front of goal should prove too much tonight.

Take Man United to win both halves.
