MATCH POINT: Our tennis tipping column previews the US Open Women’s Final between Emma Raducanu v Leylah Annie Fernandez with a recommended bet on the 0% BETDAQ MARKET !!.

Unfortunately none of my three ante-post bets have made the final, despite all three running deep into the tournament:

PLISKOVA TO WIN 2 points at around 19
ANDREESCU TO WIN 2 points at around 41
SABALENKA TO WIN 2.5 points at around 13

Pliskova was beaten in straight sets in the quarter finals by Maria Sakkari who also dispatched Bianca Andreescu whilst Sabalenka was beaten in the semi-finals 🙁

So the account shows a 6.5 point deficit heading into tonight’s final but I’m not sure there is anyone on the planet who could have predicted this year’s finalists!

It’s a teenage shootout between two qualifiers Emma Raducanu v Leylah Annie Fernandez with the BETDAQ tennis market favouriting the Brit Raducanu but for me it’s surely more of a coinflip?

On a poignant day in New York the pair will step out onto the Arthur Ashe Stadium in the first all-teenage Grand Slam final since the 1999 US Open.

The two have only met once competitively – that was in the girls’ singles at Wimbledon in 2018 where Raducanu ran out a 6-2 6-4 winner.

That form line is unlikely to prove relevant on the hard surface at Flushing Meadows several years later but does prove Raducanu has nothing to fear and the turnaround since she was forced to withdraw from Wimbledon has proved nothing short of stratospheric.

Remember BETDAQ are all tennis bets 0% COMMISSION!

Fernandez has emerged from the tougher half of the draw – claiming Naomi Osaka in round three and then another former winner in Angelique Kerber, fifth seed Elina Svitolina and second seed Aryna Sabalenka.

The pair are so hard to split – they both average 96 mph first serves but I think the momentum of Raducanu is insatiable and I take her to win in straight sets at around 2.6 on BETDAQ.
