PREVIEW
Nigeria finally get their Confederations Cup campaign underway against footballing minnows Tahiti tonight. This is the fourth fixture of the tournament with each game going as expected and an upset here looks extremely unlikely.

Africa Cup of Nations champions arrive in Brazil with a young squad lacking much experience at the highest level. Spain are clear favourites in the group, so manager Stephen Keshi knows his best chance of qualifying comes from tonight’s clash and a likely second-place battle with Uruguay.

The Super Eagles are missing some players including Victor Moses, Emmanuel Emenike, Kalu Uche and Ogenyi Onazi, while hoping defender Nicollas Vallar recovers from an ankle injury in time to join the starting XI.

In terms of inexperience, no one can match the Tahitians though. Within their ranks they have just one professional player in striker Marama Vahirua. They are ranked 138th in the world with a population of just 178,000.

Tahiti have lost five of their previous seven internationals without scoring a goal. Even with Nigeria’s young squad they are a far superior side and are worth backing with the -2.5 Asian handicap at 1.81 on BETDAQ.
