PREVIEW
The Champions League quarter-finals kick-off this evening and for the first time since 1996 there are no English sides represented. However, there are some brilliant ties for the neutrals and Paris St Germain’s home match versus Barcelona is probably the pick of tonight’s action.

Both sides looks to have already secured their domestic titles with PSG seven points clear at the top of Ligue One and Barca cruising to another La Liga triumph – a huge 15 points ahead of Real Madrid in second.

PSG perhaps haven’t been as dominant this term as people expected. Lavish funding from their Qatari owners has allowed them to buy in the best players – lead by former Barcelona man Zlatan Ibrahimovic – but it’s only in the last few weeks they’ve shook off the attentions of Lyon in second place. They beat Valencia in their last-16 tie and warmed up for this encounter with a narrow 1-0 win over Montpellier.

Barcelona overcame the odds to see off AC Milan 4-2 on aggregate in the last round, having lost the first leg in Italy 2-0, and the Catalans seem to be over that blip in form which saw them lose three games on the bounce. They could only manage a 2-2 draw against Celta Vigo on the weekend but will surely have been focused on this game.

This match will be all about the strikers with Ibrahimovic having something to prove against his old club and Lionel Messi, well, is just Lionel Messi the goal machine. The Argentine maestro is just 1.69 in the player to score market but his Swedish rival is a very presentable 2.86 to net in 90 minutes and that’s worth a bet.
