MATCH OF THE DAQ previews Fulham v Arsenal (Premier League, K.O 15:00, Setanta Sports 1)

Arsenal let down favourite backers on Tuesday night when they could only share a 0-0 draw with Everton at the Etihad and the trip to Craven Cottage this afternoon is not the easy assignment the layers on BETDAQ seem to have priced it up as.

PREVIEW
Arsenal let down favourite backers on Tuesday night when they could only share a 0-0 draw with Everton at the Etihad and the trip to Craven Cottage this afternoon is not the easy assignment the layers on BETDAQ seem to have priced it up as.

The Gunners are around 1.78 with the Cottagers as big as 5.3, despite the fact Fulham are unbeaten in their last four Premier League meetings with Arsenal, drawing three and winning one. In addition, since the start of 2010, Arsenal have won just one of 13 London derbies away from home, losing eight.

They have been in good form of late, though, conceding just six goals in their last nine league games and lost just one of their last 11 games. However, they have rarely been convincing and it might be that the pressure of trying to secure a top four spot is starting to tell. The performance versus Everton looked tired.

Fulham’s defence is a concern but after the 3-0 beating they suffered here against Chelsea in midweek, Martin Jol will demand better from his players and we should expect an improved performance.

Arsenal probably should win this game but punters have said that a lot this season and have been let down a lot. At such a narrow price and considering their recent record in London derbies, the best bet might be a small lay of Arsenal at 1.8 on BETDAQ.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
