PREVIEW
Rafael Nadal bids for tennis history today as he goes for a record eighth French Open title against compatriot David Ferrer. After a serious knee injury last year, there were even rumours the Spanish clay master would never recapture the form that has seen him lift eleven Grand Slams but he has proved the doubters wrong since his comeback.

A five-set win over Novak Djokovic on Friday showed him at his tenacious best and you would be a brave man to bet against him.

Ferrer must be one of the unluckiest players on tour as, despite being a top-class player, he falls just short of the likes of Nadal and Djokovic at the very top end. He has been in superb form this tournament, though, and did well to beat home hope Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the last four. However, a losing 19-4 head-to-head record versus Nadal suggests he needs a career best to land his first major.

He has won just one of the last 16 matches against Nadal and it’s impossible to oppose the hot favourite here. For a bit of value, back Nadal to win in four sets at around 3.6 on BETDAQ.
