PIPPED A SHORT HEAD: SHAMROCK’s Saturday NAP, Wilshire Boulevard, was unfortunately pipped a short head at Navan. He heads to Curragh on Sunday to try and get the sequence back on track.

We had good fortune on a 7/2 NAP in a photo earlier in the week with Harry Trotter but the luck didn’t hold yesterday with Wilshire Boulevard just failed to get up.

The NAPS sequence has settled at exactly 60% with 24 winners from the last 40
.
The NAPS sequence now reads:

WWW22W6WWWW2LWWWWLWWF223WLFWWWWLWLW2WWW2

We’re now 24 winning NAPS from the last 40 (60% strike-rate) ….

* On missing days there was either no Irish racing OR the NAP was a non runner

We head to the last race on the Curragh card on Sunday for the nap.

The Mick Halford trained Dabadiyan should relish the step-up in distance to 12 furlongs and this is the ideal opportunity for him to lose his maiden tag.

He ran well on his seasonal reappearance here when fourth to Maggie Dalton.

The once raced pair Waver and Alkali are obvious dangers but both will need to improve significantly on their debut efforts to match the form that Dabadiyan already has in the book.

In the featured TRM Silver Stakes at 3.50 – a Listed contest – Zand is of interest on his seasonl reappearance and is not without support on the early BETDAQ market.

He was impressive when winning at Leopardstown on soft ground but cannot be considered nap material today on much faster ground.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:

NAP: Dabadiyan (5.20 Curragh)
