They say ‘luck’ evens itself out – eventually – and having suffered on the bad side of the ‘L word’ a few weeks ago with accas being denied by last fence blunders on the horses and most notably Germany’s 4-4 draw with Sweden after being 4-0 up we had a bit of fortune the other way on Sunday.

The treble was landed thanks to Newcastle’s home win……. in the 93rd minute !!!!

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew insisted his side deserved their lucky break after Papiss Cisse’s heavily deflected injury-time winner gave the Magpies three highly fortunate points against West Brom.

That gave us a nice profit of 20.96 points on the day and a return into profit (although small) in October.

We head to Redcar today for a short price double. The meeting passed a morning inspection.
