PREMIER LEAGUE SATURDAY: We preview Saturday’s Premier League fixtures with a recommended BETDAQ bet including SPURS v EVERTON (5.30pm).

CRYSTAL PALACE V BURNLEY

3pm A very interesting game from a betting point of view to start the day. Burnley are still flying high in seventh position in the table, while Palace have been impressive under Hodgson. The thing about Palace is though that they haven’t won a huge amount of games – they have been very solid, however they’ve had plenty of draws in their good run and they look a little skinny here at 2.08. Burnley arrive here off the back of two defeats, however they have came against Manchester City and Liverpool – prior to that they had been in excellent form, bar losing to Spurs which again is not a major worry for this tie. We expect this to be a very close affair, and with Burnley very hard to beat this season, the Palace lay looks cracking value at 2.08.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Crystal Palace at 2.08.

CHELSEA V LEICESTER

3pm The clash of the last two Premier League winners. You wouldn’t believe it by just looking at the market though, with Chelsea as short as 1.32 favourites. Chelsea are coming into this clash off the back of three straight draws, two with Arsenal and one with Norwich in the FA Cup. Leicester failed to beat Fleetwood in the FA Cup too, so both sides will have a busy week. The one standout stat coming into this tie is Leicester’s away form – they have been very poor away from home and with Chelsea’s impressive home record, it’s hard to see anything but a home win here. They’re currently trading 1.92 -1.5 goals and that looks pretty good value looking at how Leicester perform away from home.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Chelsea -1.5 goals to beat Leicester at 1.92.

HUDDERSFIELD V WEST HAM

3pm This is a very open market, with Huddersfield 2.76, West Ham 3.05 and the draw 3.15 at the time of writing. The stats say that those odds are wrong though, and that Huddersfield should be shorter. They’ve proved to be a very tough to beat at home this season. They have beaten Manchester United along the way and could have easily drawn the game with Manchester City. Meanwhile, West Ham have only managed one away win in the league all season – and that came against the struggling Stoke who recently sacked their manager. Moyes has improved The Hammers, however everything points to Huddersfield being too big here and we’re happy to take the value on offer.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Huddersfield to beat West Ham at 2.76.

NEWCASTLE V SWANSEA

3pm What a big game this is. A win for Swansea would be absolutely massive for their season, as they arrive here on the bottom of the table. However, three point would really get them into the bunch and drag Newcastle into a relegation fight – if they aren’t in one already. Newcastle have managed just one draw from their last six home games, and with them only trading 1.99 to win here they are a tempting lay. However, before laying the home side – you have to consider how bad Swansea have been lately. They did have a shock 2-1 win away to Watford recently though, however Watford have been in poor form. We feel that there isn’t much value in the match odds market and with this expected to be a close and nervy affair, under 2.5 goals is the bet at 1.67.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 2.5 goals at 1.67.

WATFORD V SOUTHAMPTON

3pm Two struggling sides meet, however they did pick up wins at the weekend in the FA Cup. You have to lean towards Southampton here at the odds though, with Watford on a desperate run. They recently had losses at home to Swansea and Huddersfield – sides that have had very poor away records going into those games too. In their last nine league games here, they’ve only managed to keep one clean sheet – a promising stat if you’re backing Southampton, who have struggled to score at times this season. We expect this to be a very close affair between two struggling sides, and we feel that it will be a lot closer than odds of 2.5 on Watford suggest so we’re happy to lay the home side.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Watford at 2.5.

WEST BROM V BRIGHTON

3pm With Swansea having a “winnable” game at Newcastle this weekend, getting three points is massive here for West Brom. They’re currently in 19th, on the same amount of points as Swansea and it appears that Pardew hasn’t improved them since coming in – unlike most of the other managerial appointments in the league. He’s had eight games in charge in the Premier League, and he has seen his side only score four goals. Their winless run in the league continues to grow, although they did pick up a confidence boosting win in the FA Cup at the weekend – you have to think of the level of that though. The fact is until we see something better from West Brom, we have to lay them at odds of 2.2 like today. Brighton have been solid and with the poor football West Brom are playing, they look a very good lay at the odds.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay West Brom at 2.2.

TOTTENHAM V EVERTON

5.30pm A great game to finish the day! The markets don’t see this one being close though, with Spurs as short as 1.29 at the time of writing. With Manchester City away to Liverpool tomorrow, that is the shortest price of any team in the Premier League this weekend. Hard to believe given the amount of money Everton spent in the summer, and that they have seemingly turned things around under Big Sam. Perhaps they have lost some steam in recent games – they are now without a win in their last five, however three of these games have came against Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea. They could only draw away to West Brom though, which is a worry. However, we feel that Spurs are simply too short here and we’re going to take a chance and lay them at very short odds to finish the day.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Tottenham at 1.29.
