PREMIER LEAGUE SUNDAY: We look ahead to Sunday’s Premier League game between EVERTON v TOTTENHAM with extended stats and a recommended BETDAQ bet.

EVERTON V TOTTENHAM

4pm It’s the last Premier League game before Christmas as Everton host Spurs. Everton won’t be looking forward to this fixture if the stats are anything to go by because they are without a win in the last 11 meetings between the sides in the Premier League. Spurs rested a few players on Wednesday night but they managed to beat Arsenal 2-0 in the Carabao Cup and they will come into this tie full of confidence.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Everton 3.4, Tottenham 2.34 and the draw is 3.5. Spurs have been excellent away from home in the Premier League lately and have really grinded out some tough wins – they have won eight of their ten away games this season. Everton have had a tough run of fixtures having to play Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea in their last six games, although they did draw with Chelsea.

A worrying thing for Everton backers would be that they failed to beat Watford and Newcastle in their last two home games and obviously Spurs are a different level compared to those sides. As we said, Spurs have been excellent away from home this season and we can see that continuing here. The away side simply look too big at 2.34 and that’s a price that we have to back. Everton haven’t been reliable this season while Spurs always seem to turn up – we feel that they should be closer to evens.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Tottenham to beat Everton at 2.34.
