GALWAY FESTIVAL: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the fifth day of the Galway Festival and his nap runs in the opener at 5.10pm.

Despite most of Europe experiencing a summer heatwave, Galway has testing ground and it’s forecast to be soft tonight.

Conditions should favour Coral Beach in the opening seven furlong maiden. The Aidan O’Brien trained runner has proved expensive to follow so far in six races but could be better suited by the testing ground and longer trip.

One of her better runs was her first start at Naas where she she finished third on good to yielding ground to stable companion Fairyland who went on to win a Listed race and be placed third in the Group 3 Albany at Royal Ascot.

At around 3.9 on the BETDAQ market, at the time of writing, she is preferred to market leader Zuenoon who was fourth at Limerick on debut and trainer Dermot Weld had his first winner of the week at his favourite meeting yesterday.
