FUTURE CHAMPIONS DAY: A great day of racing with strong Irish challengers at Newmarket with racing too this afternoon from Downpatrick and Dundalk this evening. SHAMROCK tipped three out of three yesterday.

It was a good day on the tipping from at Punchestown yesterday with THREE OUT OF THREE !!!!

All the winners were short prices – Little King Robin continued her winning ways to land the nap at 4/6 and it’s now three winning naps from the last four.

Downpatrick and Dundalk race today but there’s some huge prizes to be plundered over the next couple of days in the UK with Future Champions Day at Newmarket today and Champions Day itself at Ascot on Saturday.

The ground is soft at Newmarket but likely to be even more testing at Ascot.

There are three Group 1’s in a row today – all with Irish representation:

2:55 vision.ae Middle Park Stakes (Group 1) (2yo, Class 1, 6f, 7 runners)

The Warrior represents Aidan and Joseph O’Brien here but he had his limitations exposed in the valuable Tattersalls Millions 2YO Trophy here last time over seven furlongs. He could only finish 9th of 15 and the stronger Irish challenge is likely to come from the Ger Lyons trained Cappella Sansevero who his first three races and also won a Group 3 at the Curragh last time out. He looks an interesting place proposition on BETDAQ.

3:25 Dubai Fillies’ Mile (Group 1) (2yo, Class 1, 1m, 7 runners)

Together Forever won a Listed race easily at the Curragh last Sunday but again Aidan O’Brien’s representative is overlooked in favour of another Irish challenger. The Eddie Lynam trained Agnes Stewart won the Group 2 May Hill Stakes at Doncaster last time out in fine style and can cope with the rise to the top level.

4:00 Dubai Dewhurst Stakes (Group 1) (2yo, Class 1, 7f, 6 runners)

Irish raiders have an exceptional record here and hopes are high that Aidan O’Brien can land this with Smuggler’s Cove who romped home by seven lengths in a Listed race at Dundalk last time out. I napped Bertie Le Belge in that race who was readily brushed aside. The time students were very excited about the performance of Smuggler’s Cove on the figures and whilst clearly he is likely to have to improve further to land this prestigious prize that certainly can’t be ruled out.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Agnes Stewart (3.25 Newmarket)
NEXT BEST: Smuggler’s Cove (4.00 Newmarket)
PLACE: Cappella Sansevero (2.55 Newmarket)
