MONARCH TO FINALLY BE CROWNED: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the jumps card at Kilbeggan on Friday evening with a nap in the 6.25pm race.

Monarch has finished runner-up in all three of his jumps starts to date but should be able to get off the mark in this company tonight in the 6.25pm race.

The Joseph O’Brien trained runner was a well beaten favourite last time out over course and distance when no match for Cinema De Quartier but the winner looked well above average.

Monarch was a winner on the flat at Gowran Park when trained by Aidan O’Brien.

Chief market rival Canny Tom has also caught a bout of seconditis but unlike the selection has failed to win a race of any description in 22 attempts.

The Willie Mullins trained Herminio showed promise in his first two starts but blundered away his chance at Bellewstown last time out when making a bad mistake five out and eventually being pulled up. He’s likely to set off in front tonight.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Monarch (6.25 Kilbeggan)
