WOODLANDS STAKES: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the Listed Woodlands Stakes at Naas tonight.
A Listed race on the Naas card tonight – it’s the five furlong Woodlands Stakes at 6.20pm.
Michael Dods sends over the talented Intense Romance from the UK but the trainer’s form is still a big question mark with just three winners from 42 runners this season.
Intense Romance rattled up a hat-trick at the end of last season but two of those wins were on heavy ground and it won’t be as testing here tonight.
Preference is for the home trained Urban Beat who should strip fitter after finishing fourth on his seasonal reappearance in a Listed race at Cork last month.
He was very progressive last season and can hopefully continue where he left off.
