ROSCOMMON PASSES INSPECTION: Tonight’s card at Roscommon goes ahead on heavy ground after the course passed an 8am inspection.
It was touch and go for tonight’s card at Roscommon but the good news is that the meeting survived a morning inspection and the mixed card gets underway at 4.45pm.
Our Anniversary might not be the best horse in the maiden at 5.45pm but she looks the percentage call as she raced over course and distance last time out, when the ground was also heavy.
She also ran her best race to date, finishing a close up fourth at 50/1 to Giorni Felice.
Guthanna Goithe, Jasaara and Vincita may well turn out to be better horses in time but there are big questions marks over them to handle both the distance and ground. All three have never been tried at over a mile.
