TUESDAY ACTION AT LISTOWEL: Shamrock is back at Listowel hoping to go one better than yesterday when his nap was a 3/4 length second at 4/1.
The ground remains testing at Listowel ahead of today’s mixed card which gets underway at 2.35.
Salhooda coped well with the heavy ground on her debut at Killarney when she finished a 3/4 length second to Aidan O’Brien’s Greek Goddess who has since found the step-up to Listed company at the Curragh too much to handle.
Salhooda has some big race entries, including the Irish 1,000 Guineas, so you would have to think she will have to win the 3.05 today with ease for those high hopes to be maintained.
This race is a fair standard. Aidan O’Brien runs two and the morning BETDAQ trade on Abu Nayef is of a positive nature but I’m sticking with the proven form on the ground of Salhooda.
