LIMERICK MUST PASS AN INSPECTION: Wednesday’s card hinges on an 8am inspection. But Thursday’s big card at Gowran Park looks set fair.

Wednesday’s meeting at Limerick is subject to a precautionary inspection at 8am.

While the track is raceable at present, a cold night is expected at the track.

Horse Racing Ireland tweeted: “Limerick to hold 8am precautionary inspection due to threat of overnight frost. Track currently raceable, ground heavy.”

Better news from Gowran Park who are currently not anticipating any problems with their biggest card of the year on Thursday.

The meeting features the Goffs Thyestes Handicap Steeplechase (Grade A).

No inspections are planned and in their latest tweet Gowran Park said: “All looking good today for Thyestes day Thursday !!! More of the same for the next few days please 🙂 gowran park yeehaw.”

The cancelled meeting at Fairyhouse on Sunday has now been rescheduled for Saturday February 2nd.

The Fairyhouse card already scheduled for that day has been rescheduled for the following Tuesday, February 5th.
