NAVAN ON SATURDAY: SHAMROCK’s best bet of the day runs in the opening maiden at 2.25.
With the Irish trained runners looking to have an uphill task in the featured Sprint Cup at Haydock I’m heading to Navan for my best bet of the day.
Moral High Ground is sure to take plenty of beating in the opener following his excellent debut third at the Curragh when third to Smash Williams. The winner sauntered clear that day and went on to win a Group 3 and is now prominent in the 2000 Guineas betting for next season.
The sixth placed Lass Vega has come out and won since and the form looks rock solid. Over the same trip and going Moral High Ground should take all the beating.
Aspar and Go Kart should both improve on debut second places and are preferred to any of the newcomers to chase the nap home.
