EARLY SNOW: SHAMROCK landed his NAP and only bet on Saturday with SNOW FALCON (NAP) WON 8/13 in the final race at Fairyhouse. Great racing on Sunday on Irish Cesarewitch day at the Curragh and Ladbrokes Munster day at Limerick.

Best of both worlds on Sunday with some top class flat action from the Curragh and the jumps season cranking up another gear with the Ladbrokes Munster National at Limerick.

CURRAGH

3:45 Staffordstown Stud Stakes (Fillies’ Listed) (2yo, Class 1, 1m, 9 runners)

A few of the leading chances have had relatively hard seasons but that’s not the case with the Eddie Lynam trained Quinta Verde who has just had the two starts. She made a pleasing start at Leopardstown when third and finished in the same position when stepped up to Group 3 level behind I Am Beautiful over six furlongs. Jeanne Girl, another of today’s rivals, was just a nose in front of Quinta Verde. The distance is obviously the key but Quinta Verde can be expected to get the mile trip and might prove hard to beat here.

4:20 Irish Cesarewitch (Premier Handicap) (3yo+, 2m, 21 runners)

Finding the winner of a Cesarewitch is easy. Well it certainly was if you followed colleague DAQMAN’s advice yesterday as he was all over the 10/1 winner Big Easy. It’s the Irish equivalent today and a much easier (yeah, right) field of 21. Hidden Universe makes the most appeal. The Dermot Weld trained grey has a terrific strike-rate of 7 wins from 17 career starts and was a winner over two miles at the Galway Festival. Stamina is guaranteed unlike many of his rivals and he makes plenty of appeal win and place on BETDAQ.

LIMERICK

2:55 O’Briens Wines Novice Hurdle (Grade 3) (4yo+, Class 1, 2m 5f, 4 runners)

Just the four runners but still looks an interesting event. Hash Brown has been running well over the extended trips and should progress to land this. He is 10lb clear on official ratings and probably has most to fear from Sang Tiger who was an easy winner at Navan last time out.

5:10 Ladbrokes Munster National Handicap Chase (Grade A) (4yo+, 3m, 16 runners)

Despite the competitive nature of the race five of the last seven winners have been at single figure odds. 16 runners this year and Noel Meade has a quarter of the field. However, it is the Gordon Elliott trained Raajih that makes most appeal after a smooth win at Perth last time out.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Hash Brown (2.55 Limerick)
WIN: Quinta Verde (3.45 Curragh)
WIN AND PLACE: Hidden Universe (4.20 Curragh)
WIN AND PLACE: Raajih (5.10 Limerick)
