LIMERICK and NAVAN provide the best of jumps and flat action in Ireland on Sunday. SHAMROCK heads to Navan for his best bet of the day.

The big race at Navan on Sunday is the Coolmore Vintage Crop Stakes (Group 3) at 4.05.

Cosmic Cannonball is a non runner so we are down to a six-strong field.

Leading Light and Pale Mimosa are disputing favouritism on BETDAQ and they both return to the course after lengthy absences.

The Aidan O’Brien trained Leading Light hasn’t been seen since finishing 12th to Treve in the Arc which ended his winning sequence of five, which of course included the Ladbrokes St Leger at Doncaster. He could easily be fit enough to make a winning reappearance here and seems very versatile ground wise.

Pale Mimosa hails from Dermot Weld’s bang in form yard and receives 8lb from Leading Light. She impressed when winning a Listed race at Leopardstown last season but I just wonder whether Group level might just find her out again as it has done in the past.

Royal Diamond rounded off last year by springing a 20/1 shock win on Champions Day in a Group 3 at Ascot and is only 4lb off Leading Light on official ratings, so is entitled to go close in receipt of 2lb and may provide the value in the race at current odds of around 7.
