IT’S A DOUBLE HEADER OF JUMPING AT WEXFORD AND GALWAY: SHAMROCK looks at the feature races on both cards and finds a NAP at Wexford.

Further evidence of the jumps season warming up today with two good cards at Galway and Wexford.

Wexford 3.20 M.W. Hickey Memorial Chase (Listed)
Double Seven bids for his fifth win on the spin and if official ratings are anything to go by he will extend his sequence today as he is comfortably rated the best in this race. He’s headed up 35lb in the weights since starting his winning run at Kilbeggan in June and still had plenty in hand when winning at Limerick last time out. However, the switch to non handicap company for this Listed race seems a wise move.

Galway 3.35 Faber Audiovisuals Ballybrit Novice Chase
Only six runners but this is trappy and it’s hard to rule any out with any conviction. Preference is for Six Stone Ned who seems better over the larger obstacles and ran well in a Grade 3 at Punchestown last time out when second to Art Of Logistics. He would have finished closer than the eventual 5 1/2 lengths if non fur a mistake at the final fence.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Double Seven (3.20 Wexford)
NEXT BEST: Six Stone Ned (3.35 Galway)
