THURSDAY AT THURLES: SHAMROCK heads to Thurles on Thursday for his best bet of the day.
There’s a decent card at Thurles on Thursday when the highlight is the John Meagher Memorial Chase – a Listed contest at 12.55.
Colleague DAQMAN launches his new ‘MONEY BOX BANKERS’ today and is keen on the chances here of Hidden Cyclone in this race.
He certainly is the class act in the field having finished to Dynaste in the Ryanair Chase at the Festival and the only quandary would be his fitness after a lengthy break. However, chief market rival Home Farm is also making his seasonal reappearance although interestingly has been well backed in the BETDAQ market.
Elsewhere on the card, Willie Mullins again has the opportunity to showcase his abundance of riches. Valyssa Monterg will be a warm order to win the maiden hurdle having previously been unbeaten in three French bumpers. Mullins won this race with Annie Power two years ago.
Bellshill was second in a point to point on debut and should make a winning start under rules for Willie Mullins in the concluding bumper.
Best bet for me on the card is the Mullins trained As De Ferbet in the opener. He is another Mullins French recruit who might just have a touch of class to see of this big field.
