THREE NAPS IN A ROW: After a sequence of NINE WINNING NAPS in a row last month – SHAMROCK is building up a new sequence. He landed his third nap in a row at Dundalk yesterday.

Another winning nap yesterday and all of a sudden a new sequence is growing. The last three naps have won following a run of NINE WINNING NAPS in a row last month!

Clonmel stage their final meeting of the year today and the updated going is soft to heavy (hurdle course) and heavy, soft in places (chase course) with the track reporting 6.5mm of rain overnight.

The shortest price favourite of the day is Monbeg Worldwide in the opener. Despite there being 19 runners the Gordon Elliott trained runner will go off at prohibitive odds to go one better than on his seasonal reappearance when second to Jetz at Fairyhouse.

For the nap though I’ll go with another Monbeg – Monbeg Chit Chat in the beginners chase at 2.35pm. This one is trained by Henry de Bromhead is worth another chance having been hampered during the race on his chasing debut at Naas and beaten 23 lengths. The shorter trip should help.

Robin Des Mana is the obvious danger after his best run yet over fences at Fairyhouse last time out.

NAP: Monbeg Chit Chat (2.35 Clonmel)
