SHAMROCK AT PUNCHESTOWN: Some excellent races on Thursday’s card. Yesterday’s NAP Batchelors Walk finished 2nd at 5/2.

Heavy going at Brighton and Punchestown good to firm!!!! It’s usually the other way round.

Three excellent races to look forward to on Thursday’s card.

2:45 Grabel Mares Hurdle (Listed) (4yo+, Class 1, 2m 2f, 10 runners)

Little King Robin comes to this in a rich vein of form, winning her last three races over hurdles. She is versatile ground wise and she was impressive last time out at Gowran Park making all the running and winning by an unextended 15 lengths. It’s likely front running tactics will again be deployed.

3:45 Buck House Novice Chase (Grade 3) (4yo+, Class 1, 2m 2f, 5 runners)

This should be at mercy of the exciting Alelchi Inois who has won all four of his starts over fences and he can give the weight away. He’s still prone to the occasional error but showed his class with an easy win in the Ballybrit Novice Chase at Galway last time out.

4:15 Star Best For Racing Coverage Chase (Grade 3) (5yo+, Class 1, 2m 7f, 4 runners)

Just four runners but it looks competitive nonetheless. Preference is for Don Cossack who hopefully can give Brian Cooper another win after his win in the opener yesterday – his first win since coming back from his awful accident.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Little King Robin (2.45 Punchestown)
NEXT BEST: Alelchi Inois (3.45 Punchestown)
WIN: Don Cossack (4.15 Punchestown)
