BALLINROBE ON TUESDAY EVENING: SHAMROCK heads to Ballinrobe on Tuesday evening and NAPS in the opener at 5pm.
No joy yesterday – I said it was a coin flip race but sadly the coin landed tails rather than heads. Not for the first time I have come unstuck opposing a Willie Mullins trained runner and sadly, talking of coins, the penny hasn’t yet dropped 🙁
At Ballinrobe this evening Shield looks of interest in the opening maiden over 1m 6f.
The Aidan O’Brien trained runner is having his first start on the flat but showed he had ability when winning a Leopardstown bumper before never getting into contention in the Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival.
He has been given a break since then and in a race where several of his rivals have stamina doubts he could easily make a winning debut on the flat.
