SHAMROCK’S BACK IN THE BLACK THANKS TO BLUE: SHAMROCK landed a 7/4 WINNING NAP with Colour Blue at Galway yesterday. He returns to the track this afternoon in search of a follow-up nap.

Colour Blue made the most of her experience to win well at Galway last night, making much of the running. Fortunately (for me) none of the newcomers troubled her first time. A nice 7/4 winning NAP – but as always better odds available on BETDAQ.

Galway continues today but the action switches to the jumps.

Rebel Fitz, an easy winner at the Festival here, is a short price to extend his winning run to four over fences. Given he was beaten on his chasing debut he has got his act together in style and is sure to figure at the very top of his division this season. However, giving weight away here and at prohibitive odds doesn’t really appeal to me today.

Vicky De L’oasis is hardly a big price, around 1.8 on BETDAQ at the time of writing, but it’s hard to look past her in the opener. The Willie Mullins trained runner is making her Irish debut but won three bumpers in France (no mean feat) and with her weight allowance can get off to a winning start.

NAP Vicky De L’oasis (4.25 Galway)
