FIFTH TIME LUCK FOR FRIMA: SHAMROCK bids for his 10th winning nap from the last 16 at Dundalk tonight.

Hopefully Frima can make it the 10th winning nap from the last 16 at Dundalk tonight.

The Dermot Weld trained Frankel filly has proved costly for punters to follow so far with her four defeats coming at SP’s of 5/2, 6/4, 8/11 and 4/6 but they have come at a variety of distances and she did seem to run her best race over tonight’s trip at Fairyhouse when beaten just three quarters of a length by Black Ruby.

This doesn’t look a strong contest and Frima can at last lose the maiden tag – although there will be plenty of layers still out to get her with her CV reading as it does.

Nivvo has gone even longer without a first win. Eight starts for her but she does have plenty of experience on the all-weather here and although eighth in a Listed race over course and distance last time out was only beaten less than three lengths in the blanket finish.

Financial Conduct is the likely improver having finished a 25/1 third to a 50/1 winner on debut here over 1m 4f . He seemed to relish the trip though and I am not sure the step back will suit.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Frima (7.40 Dundalk)
