SHAMROCK AT FAIRYHOUSE: SHAMROCK bids for a winning NAP at Fairyhouse tonight. His NAP was beaten a neck at 15/8 at Gowran Park last night.

No real complaints last night. My nap Red Rocks Point ran a good race but lack of experience cost him the race in the end. He was a little fractious before the start of the race and wandered a little close home. In the end he was beaten just a neck, not by the favourite Chance To Dance who was third, but by Eddie Lynam’s runner Eighteen Summers.

Lynam also has strong claims of winning the opener at Fairyhouse tonight with the so far luckless Monsieur Power who remains a maiden after seven starts but has filled the frame five times.

The blinkers go on for the first time tonight and he certainly deserves a win but in Bilderberg he may come against a rival who is too strong.

Bilderberg has had just the one start, chasing home Aidan O’Brien’s odds-on Sparrow at the Curragh. Sparrow went on to finish third in a Group 3 at Leopardstown so the form looks quite solid.

The Ger Lyons trained runner has been off the track for 260 days since then but the early market signals on BETDAQ are positive and that’s unlikely to be a reason for failure.

Lyons should be able to follow-up with Cape Wolfe in the next race. He was a good third to stable companion Bertie Le Belge on debut and should be suited by the extra furlong here.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Bilderberg (6.00 Fairyhouse)
NEXT BEST: Cape Wolfe (6.30 Fairyhouse)
