LISTED ACTION AT KILLARNEY: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the Listed Racing Post Vincent O’Brien Ruby Stakes at Killarney this afternoon.

York don’t quite have all the stage to themselves this afternoon as there is the Listed Racing Post Vincent O’Brien Ruby Stakes to look forward to at Killarney.

Low drawn horses have generally fared well in recent years (four of the last winners drawn 1 or 2) but with a small field of seven it’s unlikely to make too much difference today.

That said, we’ll take it as extra tick for the selection Rionach (DRAWN 1) who has been well backed on the morning BETDAQ market.

The Sea The Stars filly was a course and distance winner here last month and since then put in a solid performance in a Galway handicap to finish third to Riven Light. She’ll need a career best to win at this level but I think she is still on the upgrade and up to it.

The Aidan O’Brien trained I Can Fly won on debut at Dundalk and has generally been running well enough at a higher level since and the better ground is likely to suit but there are enough question marks to take her on as favourite in an open looking race.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Rionach (3.40 Killarney)
