LISTED RACE ACTION AT KILLARNEY THIS EVENING: SHAMROCK heads to Killarney in search of a winner in the Listed Vincent O’Brien Ruby Stakes at 6.30.
Given that Aidan O’Brien has won the last four renewals of the Ruby Stakes at Killarney he is an obvious place to start for a look at the 2013 version.
O’Brien relies on two fillies tonight – Hanky Panky and Snow Queen but both are coming here with question marks.
In particular Snow Queen who is becoming something of an enigma. She is undoubtedly talented at her best but has developed a habit of being very slowly away at the stalls and could hardly be backed with any degree of confidence.
O’Brien’s other runner Hanky Panky ran well enough when fifth to Fiesolana in a Group 3 at Tipperary and is the preferred of O’Brien’s two runners.
I will take her as my nap – but at the prices take out some insurance by covering her in the BETDAQ place market too.
