WINNING NAP FOR SHAMROCK: Jack Daddy (WON EVENS, 2.67 on BETDAQ at time of recommendation) was a winning nap for SHAMROCK on Tuesday at Ballinrobe. Back to the flat for Listed race action tonight at Naas.
Jack Daddy won well to land the nap on Tuesday. He ended up being well backed and considerably shorter than the early price available on BETDAQ.
There’s a good card at Naas tonight with the highlight coming at 7.30:

It’s a good to see a Listed race attract a decent sized field numerically.
Betting wise though it’s all about Moth who is trading at around 1.6 on BETDAQ. It’s pretty impossible to argue against her being the form horse of the race. She is 8lb clear on official ratings and brings classic form to the table having finished third to Sky Lantern in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket and then fourth to Talent in the Epsom Oaks.
Prior to that she showed an impressive burst of speed to win her maiden at the Curragh in April.
But for me she doesn’t appeal as a bet at the price offered tonight. Whilst her form is very good, her limitations are also looking exposed too and although she sets the bar high, a preferred option tonight for me is to look at one of the more unexposed fillies in the place market at better odds than Moth in the win market.
To this end I think the John Oxx trained Rocktique fits the bill nicely. She bounced off the firm ground to win well on debut at Navan over a mile and gave the impression that the extra two furlongs tonight will be well within her range. With normal improvement from first start to second she could easily be good enough to get involved and I’m tempted by the 2.38 on the BETDAQ place market.
