Kolkata Knight Riders v Rajasthan Royals

MATCH OVERVIEW:

After a drama filled weekend which included wins from Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals, we have a top of the table clash on Betdaq Betting Exchange on Tuesday afternoon! Both of these sides have been excellent so far; Rajasthan have five wins from six games while for KKR it’s been four from five. KKR have a much better net run rate given their batting has been absolutely superb at times, and a win here would see them go top of the table. It’s still reasonably open, CSK have also been good and they had a great win at the weekend too, but you’d have to say these two already look good for a playoff spot.

KKR have been bashing bowlers around the park so far this tournament, and they chased down another score quickly at the weekend. Phil Salt scored 89 off 47 balls and also Shreyas Iyer finished not out with a nice little knock. Given Narine and Russell have been doing some incredible things, it’s nice to see the others starting to continue that batting. At the moment, KKR look an excellent side and Mitchell Starc bowled superbly at the weekend too taking three wickets.

Rajasthan won it a bit more dramatic fashion at the weekend. They chased down the 147/8 from Punjab seven wickets down with one ball to spare in a thriller. It looked gone in the last over too to be honest; they needed ten off four at the death – they were without Jos Buttler for that game along with Ashwin. Team news could be a massive factor here.

WEATHER AND PITCH WATCH:

It’s a quick turnaround at Eden Gardens as we had a game here on Sunday. Lucknow Super Giants only scored 161/7 but given how easily KKR chased it down with 26 balls to spare, a par score is more likely to be closer to the first game here which saw KKR post 208/7. They managed to defend that but still conceded over 200 in a very high scoring game. While this is a huge cricket stadium, the playing field isn’t actually that big and scores have increased here over the years in T20 cricket as the players have got stronger. A boundary around 60m is now considered very small.

RECOMMENDED BET:

As I said above, Buttler and Ashwin were out at the weekend and that changed the whole dynamic. It was reported that they had small niggles and it will be interesting to see can they recover it time for this game. I feel like that news will be huge, but either way I like KKR here at 1.87. They have been the best hitting side in the tournament so far, and they should have excellent batting conditions again here. Mitchell Starc hit form at the weekend, he is absolutely vital to their bowling attack as well given they are a little light with the other pacers. Everything feels good for KKR at the moment, and they are worth supporting.

The Edge Says:
Two points win Kolkata Knight Riders to beat Rajasthan Royals at 1.87 with Betdaq Exchange

IN-RUNNING STRATEGY:

First things first, team news will be vital here. I would suggest supporting both batting sides given good conditions for scoring are expected, but I wouldn’t be as confident on Rajasthan without Buttler leading them at the top of the order. The KKR batting has been superb so far this IPL, and they are worth supporting in either innings – I feel that’s going to offer the best trade but given conditions Rajasthan should go well with the bat too. It’s not a game to spend long on the bowlers!
