THE HUNDRED 💯: Our cricket tipster The Edge previews Saturday’s Hundred format game between Oval Invincibles v London Spirit with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

MATCH OVERVIEW:

The Hundred continues on Saturday and all cricket bets are 0% Commission on BETDAQ Betting Exchange! We have an all London affair here as the Oval Invincibles take on London Spirit. It’s fair to say both London sides have been pretty poor in the competition to date, but that’s perhaps a little harsh on Oval Invincibles who have won three of their six games. London Spirit have only managed one win from six games however, and they appear to have major issues with the bat. They did win their last fixture however, scoring 142/6 and successfully defending it by six runs.

While he only scored 22 runs, Eoin Morgan finished the innings not out and his strike rate was 137. He really is the key to the London Spirit batting, and he started the tournament out of form. Perhaps if he gets into form they will start winning more games, but it’s too late in the day now for them to achieve anything. With that in mind, this is a big game for Oval Invincibles who sit in mid-table. They need a strong finish to the competition, and this is a must win game for them against the side bottom of the table.

WEATHER AND PITCH WATCH:

This will be the fourth Hundred game at the Oval, so we should have a fair idea of what to expect now. The first three first innings scores were; 145/8 (defended), 121/7 (chased) and then 125/6 off 65 balls (defended). The 125/6 off 65 balls is pretty impressive, and I feel we can see a decent score here – certainly bigger than the first two games, if Oval Invincibles bat first. If London Spirit bat first I would be less confident, because their betting has looked poor – I definitely wouldn’t want to be relying on them batting well for trading! We have had plenty of wet weather recently, but thankfully the weather looks set fair on Saturday, with a high of 23 degrees in London.

RECOMMENDED BET:

Although London Spirit managed to finally get a win in the last game, I’m happy to be on Oval Invincibles here. London Spirit have looked like a poor side right through the competition, and with Jason Roy coming into form the Invincibles should be very hard to beat. I noted above how important Eoin Morgan is to London Spirit – I feel like they are a one man side with the bat – there is so much pressure on him to do well. With good batting conditions expected, Oval Invincibles will outscore the London Spirit with the bat to win the game.

The Edge Says:
Two points win Oval Invincibles to beat London Spirit at 1.72 with BETDAQ Exchange.

IN-RUNNING STRATEGY:

My in-running strategy for this game will mainly be taking on the London Spirit while batting. I’ve been very keen to get against their batting through the tournament, so it will pay to focus on looking for trades on the Invincibles while London Spirit are batting. The only player I’m happy to not take on is Eoin Morgan obviously. Jason Roy looked in superb touch in the last game for Oval Invincibles, and he can move the market quickly at the top of the order today – especially if Invincibles bat first. Perhaps the one player you could take on for the Invincibles is Narine, but I don’t feel that offers the same edge as taking on London Spirit with the bat.
