PREMIER LEAGUE FRIDAY: The Striker previews MANCHESTER CITY v WOLVES with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
MANCHESTER CITY V WOLVES
8pm We have Friday Night Football from the Premier League this week on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE as Manchester City host Wolves. This is a game that City will be fully expected to win, but as we all know they haven’t been close to their brilliant best this season and Wolves have been on a fantastic run to end the season so we might see some drama! As you would expect though given the gulf in class between the sides, City come into the game as the red-hot favourites. Pep Guardiola’s men are trading 1.37 with Wolves 9.4 and the draw is 5.9 at the time of writing.
Although City are a short price, it is a sign of the times that they are trading “as high” as 1.37 – they could easily be sub 1.3 here if they were in top form this season. There are obviously still issues, but they have put a run of wins together now. They comfortably got into the FA Cup Final last weekend with a smooth win over Nottingham Forest, and they’ve won their last three Premier League games. Prior to that though they had a pretty terrible performance in a 0-0 against Manchester United at Old Trafford, and in fairness the Aston Villa win could have easily been a draw.
There’s no prizes for tipping 1.37 shots so I’m not considering the City price here, but I still wouldn’t be rushing to include it in a weekend Acca given the run Wolves are on at the moment. They’ve won their last six Premier League games, and although they have had a pretty easy fixture list, they must be full of confidence. It’s not often a club like Wolves have a run like that. The negative to that run is they have played Southampton, West Ham, Ipswich, Spurs, Manchester United and Leicester. The three sides going down and it’s quite easy to pick holes in the other three this season. You could argue their most difficult fixture was West Ham given where Spurs and United are this season.
I’m happy to stay out of the match odds market anyway, and we’ll have to look around the side markets for some value. The problem for City this season has been mainly at the back, and Wolves have been on a great run of scoring goals. They’ve found the net in their last ten Premier League games, and they had to play away to Liverpool at the start of that run too. They might come up short here in terms of getting a result, but they can find the net at some stage and Both Teams To Score looks a nice bet at 1.9.
The Striker Says:
Two points win Both Teams To Score at 1.9 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
