BRIGHTON V WOLVES

7.45pm We have Monday Night Football from the Premier League on BETDAQ Betting Exchange this week as the Winter Break ends with Brighton hosting Wolves. Although we’ve had a quieter than usual two weeks, we actually haven’t missed a TV slot – I suppose it’s the best the sides could hope for break wise. This should be a competitive game, and it’s definitely an important game for Brighton to win to try and gain some momentum. They have slipped down the table in recent weeks and went into this weekend sitting down in eighth.

After a very fast start to the season, they’ve only managed three wins in their last 14 games which is pretty poor. Their average xG created is impressive at 1.79 – that’s the fifth highest attacking figure in the Premier League this season. The problem for Brighton has been at the back though; their 0-0 draw against West Ham at the start of the year was their first clean sheet of the Premier League season which is remarkable. They had kept clean sheets against weaker opposition in the Europa League, but they have been very sloppy at the back.

Wolves will be hoping to take advantage of some of those mistakes at the back here. They need all the help they can get going forward. Their average xG created this season is only 1.13, which is the fifth worst attacking figure in the Premier League. We have the fifth best against the fifth worst! They have been massively over-performing in front of goal though, the actual goals scored average for Wolves is 1.5 which is quite the difference and why they sit in mid-table just behind Chelsea and Newcastle.

Brighton will be expected to win here, and they come into the game as the odds on favourites. They are trading 1.67 at the time of writing with Wolves 5.5 and the draw is 4.4. Wolves will come into this game buzzing after an FA Cup win mid-week in extra-time, and while they will likely be outclassed by Brighton I don’t like the 1.67 here. Brighton just haven’t won enough games recently to take odds that short and obviously they have also been conceding a lot of sloppy goals too.

Brighton have always played a very open game. While that’s why they have some exceptionally impressive attacking figures, at times this season it has been their downfall too. I know Wolves haven’t created a huge amount this season, but to their credit they have been taking their chances and also scoring from awkward angles too. I like Both Teams To Score here at 1.76 in what should be an open game. I couldn’t put anyone off Over 2.5 goals either at a few ticks shorter, but I’m very happy with BTTS.

The Striker Says:
Two points win Both Teams To Score at 1.76 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
