CHELSEA v LIVERPOOL: The Striker previews Saturday’s FA Cup Final between CHELSEA v LIVERPOOL including a recommended BETDAQ bet.

CHELSEA V LIVERPOOL

4.45pm It’s FA Cup Final day on Saturday and we have an absolute cracker to enjoy on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. Chelsea meet Liverpool at Wembley, and the famous quadruple might be off the card for Liverpool, a huge Cup treble is still firmly in their sights. It’s fair to say that Chelsea a few levels below Liverpool and Manchester City over the course of the season, but over 90 minutes the London side have shown they can more than compete with the best – you only have to look at last year’s Champions League Final for a reminder.

There might be close to 20 points between the sides in the Premier League table but we always have a fascinating dynamic between the sides and the managers when the sides meet. In Tuchel and Klopp you have two of the best tactical managers in world football clashing and Tuchel has something to prove with Chelsea so far off the pace in the Premier League this season. Liverpool have had a difficult few weeks, and while they are still getting results and winning games, they aren’t fully firing.

They came through a dramatic Champions League Semi-Final against Villarreal when they lost a two goal lead in the first half of the second leg. Everyone though they were under immense pressure, but they actually managed to win the game 3-2 in the end, winning 5-2 on aggregate. Drama, what drama you say? They then dropped points in the Premier League with a 1-1 draw against Spurs – Klopp gave out about the Spurs tactics afterwards but you can’t blame Spurs for not wanting to play an open game against Liverpool. Tuchel would have been watching that game very closely, and I would suggest he will want his side to be as cagey as possible.

Although Liverpool beat Aston Villa mid-week, that fixture wasn’t without drama either. Villa took an early lead, and although Liverpool were able to come back and win they didn’t boss the game. Liverpool are an exceptional side, but it has been a draining few weeks for them and they haven’t been at their best. However, before we go rushing to back Chelsea – I think you could say the same about Chelsea. They have been grinding out wins rather than creating a lot of chances and blowing teams away. They played well at Old Trafford and were unlucky not to win, but dropping points against Everton and Wolves was poor – especially because Everton have been so average this season and the fact they had a 2-0 lead against Wolves.

Liverpool are the better side here; I don’t think there’s a question about that. They are rightfully favourites, but with them ever so slightly struggling I don’t think I can pull the trigger here at 2.08. We landed a nice Max Bet on them during the week, but I believe they could have played better. Chelsea don’t make much appeal to me either at 3.9 and if I was having a bet in the match odds market it would be a small bet on the draw at 3.7.

I know Liverpool play such an open game that it is dangerous to back unders, however under 2.5 goals looks the value call here at 1.96. I expect Chelsea to come into this game with the same tactics as Spurs and that will definitely bring them some success. The problem with stopping Liverpool from playing their game, is that you lose the chance to create a lot of chances yourself. That will make for a very cagey Final Cup in my opinion and we could easily see 0-0 at half-time before the game opens up in the final 30 minutes. Of course we have the talent on the pitch for a 3-3 crazy result, so I am going to keep stakes reasonably low however either side are creating huge xG figures over the last few weeks so I think we’ll see unders win here.

The Striker Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.96 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
